Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com Inspired by the roaring #1 New York Times bestseller with more than 1 million copies in print, 1,000 Places to See Before You Die Traveler's Journal is perfect for giving--it's specially designed for people who love to travel and want an elegant place to record their experiences. Scattered throughout the journal are traveler's lists ("Unforgettable Destinations for the 'Been There, Done That' Crowd"and "10 Experiences Guaranteed to Give You the Shivers") and quotes that will spark insight and provide writerly inspiration. At the back of the diary is helpful nuts-and-bolts info: time zones, conversion charts, telephone codes, mini-translation guides, and more. A Good Motivator | Customer Rating: | In the past I have often taken a spiral notebook on trips with the intention of keeping a daily journal, but intentions don't always translate into reality. This sturdy, easy-to-carry journal contains plenty of space for writing, but, more importantly, is a great motivator for actually keeping that journal. After all, I paid for this fancy book and should certainly fill it with insightful observations and experiences! The basic information it provides (conversions, useful phrases, etc.) also encourage keeping it handy. The daily travel quotes and the occasional lists scattered throughout are enjoyable to note. -Lynn Michelsohn, author of Roswell, Your Travel Guide to the UFO Capital of the World! | Nice think... | Customer Rating: | | That's nice idea for all travellers... This could be your amazing travel diary... And price is 3 times lower than in european bookshops! | ALWAYS SOMETHING NEW | Customer Rating: | | The Renaissance Soul: Life Design for People with Too Many Passions to Pick Just One Just the title of this book excited me because, on the one hand, it assures me that I will never run out of travel ideas while on the other hand, helping me not to waste the precious time I have left seeing "mistakes." Not that I, or probably anyone, will agree with all thousand choices, but having the info all in one place should make it easy to satisfy an endless thirst for something new. | Nice journal | Customer Rating: | | I quite like this book, though I bought it in a store, so I knew what it was when I purchased it. Yes, it's a journal with blank pages to write on. But what I liked about it is the interesting lists of places to see that pop up every 10 pages or so. It also has a quote about travel on each page. The cover is not a hardback, but not a paperback... somewhere in between. It has an attached ribbon bookmark, and a pocket in front that I would use to store receipts on the trip. I would have liked it to be spiral bound to make it easier to write in, so I may take mine to Kinko's and have them cut the binding off and spiral bind it for me. | Nothing special | Customer Rating: | | Not sure what I was expecting but I think you can get the same thing from a cheap journal without the fancy name |
