An unusual Travel Guide

This book is very entertaining. It is a very different way to tell the Disney World Story. The book is a mix of personal tales and some very interesting inside facts about Disney. This mix of styles makes the park come alive like nothing else, unless you have visited there. Then you know first had the magic that is Disney.
He also breaks things down into easy reference chapters so you can find exactly what you are looking for. These chapters cover the parks, their attractions, various hotels, information about special events, and other things. For those who are confused about what a mousejunky is he answers those questions. The author explains that attraction better than anything else. Read this book and you can understand why the Disney Vacation Club does so well.

I enjoyed this book but most of the content was basic Disney strategy that is better laid out for beginners in other books.
The writer clearly has a passion for Disney and it is fun to read as anecdotal stories.
Wouldn't make my vacation perfect

I was disappointed to find very little practical information on actually taking a trip to Walt Disney World. This book is a lot of anecdotes strung together with a few facts--definitely not an informative travel guide. Although its publisher specializes in personal travel tales, it also produces more structured guides; so I thought, based on this item's title, that this would be of such a nature. It is not. There are so few guide-style facts in this book that I can only remember two: the telephone numbers for WDW dining and central reservations. The title is misleading, because most of the so-called tips are either well-known facts that any travel agent or Disney Travel rep could tell you, or irrelevant--such as waxing poetic about the in-house TV channel host. There is nothing here to convince me that I could travel to WDW and use this book to make my vacation perfect.
