Good Book to Learn From

I originally bought this book because the cover photo is of a rescue that I witnessed and was orchestrated by a good friend and guide, Dave Kelly. However after getting the book I found each of the incidents was written very well from a factual standpoint and helped understand areas to be careful of when climbing - learn from other's mistakes. After buying this book I bought a number of the other years of this book.

SEARCH & RESCUE NARRATIVES!

As a technical mountain search and rescue team member, the narratives included in all of the "Accidents" series are great training tools, as well as concrete evidence of the dangers inherent in mountaineering. For the mountaineer or flatlander, these texts are simply great entertainment. My only criticism- this volume, as well as many others, tends to focus on the mountaineering accidents that occur in the Rockies and Pacific Coast.
