Could've been better
Interesting book with a lot of behind a scene information. I loved the information of how the Service was established, and all those facts about protectee's personalities. But the author over repeats complains toward the management of Secret Service, and leaves a feeling "guys - can't you resolve these issues among your self, I am here just for fun reading".
Informative - good easy ready
I really enjoyed this book. It gave great insight to what things are really like for those who guard the president and vice president....and the personalities of those who they guard.
Gossip, Gossip, Information, Gossip, Tittering Gossip, Interesting Bit, Gossip
Really disappointed about how the content seems to be more salacious than informative. While some interesting insights into the training, triumphs and foibles of the service, I'm not interested in the size of Johnson's tool or how many women Kennedy had. Have kept going because there are some interesting nuggets, but really a lot more gossipy than narrative.
Not even one Star!
An absolute piece of junk! Anyone that believes all the slander and gossip put forth in this book probably learned thier journalistic values watching Soap Operas and Reality TV.
I thought that the author would have some insught into how the Secret Service protected the President of the United States. It turns out that for good reason the Secret Service probably wouldn't go anywhere this author and all we get is decades old trivia about every President since Lincoln. Whether this trivia is fact or fiction is lost to history but what is disturbing is that this trivia is presented as Gospal. Written soley to sensationalize and make money, don't waste your money on this book.
WOW! Great read ,Insider Details!
I heard about this book on the Dennis Prager show, and have always loved the Mystery of the Secret Service. This books Author has a gift for fluid story telling & has inside contacts that made this book read like part Novel part History lesson, I can't wait to read several of his other titles
I was Blessed & Impressed
