Summary#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR VINCE FLYNN RETURNS WITH HIS MOST EXHILARATING POLITICAL THRILLER TO DATE, A PULSE-POUNDING TALE OF ESPIONAGE, COVERT INTELLIGENCE, AND COUNTERTERRORISM. The action begins six days after a series of explosions devastated Washington, D.C., targeting the National Counterterrorism Center and killing 185 people, including public officials and CIA employees. It was a bizarre act of extreme violence that called for extreme measures on the part of elite counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp and his trusted team member, Mike Nash. Now that the initial shock of the catastrophe is over, key Washington officials are up in arms over whether to make friends or foes of the agents who stepped between the enemy's bullets and countless American lives regardless of the legal consequences. Not for the first time, Rapp finds himself in the frustrating position of having to illustrate the realities of national security to politicians whose view from the sidelines is inevitably obstructed. Meanwhile, three of the al Qaeda terrorists are still at large, and Rapp has been unofficially ordered to find them by any means necessary. No one knows the personal, physical, and emotional sacrifices required of the job better than Rapp. When he sees Nash cracking under the pressure of the mission and the memories of the horrors he witnessed during the terrorist attack, he makes a call he hopes will save his friend, assuage the naysayers on Capitol Hill, and get him one step closer to the enemy before it's too late. Once again, Rapp proves himself to be a hero unafraid "to walk the fine line between the moral high ground and violence" (The Salt Lake Tribune) for our country's safety, for the sake of freedom, for the pursuit of honor. |

Pursuit of Honor
I can;t hardly wait for new books from Vince Flynn I have read about all his books, this book arrived early and have read it already Now waiting on his next now waiting on his next one which I hope is soon.
Good read
I enjoyed the latest Flynn book. Started a little slow then took off couldn't put it down. Loved Chapter 50.
Pursuit of Honor
The Pursuit of Honor by Vince Flynn was a fast pace read. Vince seems to know his material and gives his reader's a believable CIA that is protecting these borders against terrorism. Some of the internal national conflicts seem extreme but political intrigue just makes the book more interesting.
Flynn is my favorite author, but....
Vince Flynn is my favorite author, but I was disappointed with Pursuit of Honor. Perhaps his previous books have set the bar too high -- it just seemed to lack the on -the-edge-of-my-seat suspense that his other books have had. However, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to his next novel.
Mitch saves the country again
I am a fan of Mitch Rapp and have read all of Flynn's books. This book tells the real story of DC control of the CIA. Once again I couldn't put the book down, but it didn't have the excitement that Flynn's other books had. I found that I wanted the action-packed Mitch back. Still a good read, but not as much Mitch controlling the terrorists as in the other books. But then the CIA today is losing a lot of its power too.
