Summaries and Customer Reviews provided by Amazon
SummaryWhen Peter Walsh, organizational guru of TLC's hit show Clean Sweep and a regular contributor to The Oprah Winfrey Show, appeared on national television shows and told people how they could reclaim their lives from the suffocating burden of their clutter, the response was overwhelming. People flooded Peter's website (www.peterwalshdesign.com) with success stories about how his book had changed their lives. Peter's unique approach helped people everywhere learn to let go of the emotional and psychological clutter that was literally and figuratively choking the life out of their homes. With his good humor and reassuring advice, Peter shows you how to face the really big question: What is the vision for the life you want to live? He then offers simple techniques and a step-by-step plan to assess the state of your home, prioritize your possessions, and let go of the clutter you have been holding on to that has kept you from living the life you imagine. The result is freed-up space, less stress, and more energy for living a happier, richer life every day. |

Average Rating:
best encouragement for getting organized - simple and logical
This book goes beyond the usual "decluttering" books... it gets to the root of the hoarding/cluttering habit and leads you in a direction toward a much healthier and happier life! Thanks for sharing your experience and expertise!
Great Read
Lots of real accounts.Easy step by step directions. Peter Walsh is a valuable assette, to all people, with difficulties getting life back, from too much stuff.
READ THIS BOOK
Kind of a life changer.....a quick read, but if you're willing to consider what he has to say, it could have a profound effect on the way you live. Good stuff.
So make life simpler - give over the things
Take yourself in hand, begin where you can to sort out the stuff that binds you to things.
Things are only things. They help you to waste valuable time. Change the focus and be ready to replace the 'things' with something of more value. An uncluttered space and hopefully a less cluttered mind, because now you won't have to remember where everything is, your system of storage will show you.
My life was so cluttered I bought two copies, BUT now I have only one. Decluttering work and you can make back some of the money you spent creating the clutter like I did.
If it's too much, get this book.
I have long been a fan of Peter Walsh since the TLS show Clean Sweep and having trouble keeping organized myself, this book helped me tremendously. He really gets down to the nuts and bolts of de-cluttering. If you have trouble letting go of stuff that you know you should, get this book. It is a fantastic read and will help just about anyone, in my opinion, get that orgazined home they long for. I also recommend The Big Clean: How to Clean and Organize Your Home and Free Your Mind (Revised and Updated).
