Nothing New

Rating: Score = 1 Score = 1 Score = 1 Score = 1 Score = 1

When someone in your life was suffering, you'd like to get any info that could heal them. That's why we got this book in the first place. But there was nothing new here, eat vegetables, stay away from salt and sodium, etc.

There are a few nuances though, such as stay away from dairy products, soy products, avocados, cucumbers, beans--I always felt that you can't go wrong when you go with nature and eat what nature has provided, so these no-no's did not make sense, especially when you're trying to increase the immune system.

They also wanted that you overcook your vegetables--this too did not ring true for me.

If these ring true to you, they you'd probably like this book. If it didn't, then don't get this book.

Great book with many facts about the natural cure for cancer and many other sicknesses.

Gerson therapy works

Rating: Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5

This book does a good job detailing the Gerson therapy. There are newer books by the Gerson institute, but this one has all the basics.

My partner's cancer indicator dropped from 180 to 80 after 1 week on the Gerson therapy.

This info should be common sense

If you haven't done your research on Dr. Max Gerson you should. His work is well documented you just have to search. See in America we aren't just told about this stuff. The people that do make a great profit off the sick do a great job of keeping this material hidden. Watch the movie "Dying to have known."
It's sad that the government can tell us how we can get better. Only surgery, chemo and radiation are PERMITTED by our government as health options. Wow.

Food For Thought

Rating: Score = 4 Score = 4 Score = 4 Score = 4 Score = 4

The Gerson therapy is powerful and effective, but has one serious drawback: it costs more than $5,000 per week, and your insurance might not cover it. That said, this book is still worth reading because some of these things you can do yourself, at home, once you understand the theory behind the program. Whether you can do enough at home depends upon what ails you and how sick you are.

The basic program is two-pronged: detoxify the body while saturating it with high quality nutrients. The former with coffee enemas, the latter with "voluminous amounts" of fresh juices. Full instructions are provided. There are no guarantees, but it has effected some dramatic cures. Most patients see improvements beyond their primary complaints.

Some of its dietary recommendations are surprising. It favors a low protein diet, "overcooked by most standards." While forbidding nuts, sprouts, and avocados, it allows oatmeal and baked potatoes, despite recent findings about cancer-causing acrylimides in cooked starches. It recommends Lugol's solution, which contains potassium iodide; the Natural Hygiene school considers this form of iodine to be toxic. And saturating the body with more nutrients than it can handle is never a good idea. So read this book critically. Weigh and consider what it says, and adapt it to your own needs.
