I got this one, because it had larger print, and I'm an old guy. Buy one every couple of years, as this is the best one available.

i purchase Leonard Maltin's new updated Movie Guide every year and find it invaluable for assessment of all the films that are shown on television. I respect his views and it is always spot on with my taste.

Don't go to movies often but this is invaluable for seeing what a movie is about before attending or renting it.

best annual guide on the market

Maltin's movie guide is as complete and helpful as any guide on the market. That said, I really miss the annual guide from Mick Martin and Marsha Porter. The guides are quite similar except for two things. The M and P guide was the ONLY guide I found that would give you the reason for the MPAA ratings. The other thing is Maltin tends to get a little uppity at times which really seems stupid for someone who's lot in life is he sits on his butt and watches movies!
I've contacted Ballantine Books and Mick Martin, but it seems Ballantine does agree with me and thousands of others that Martin and Porter's guide was the best.
