Summaries and Customer Reviews provided by Amazon
SummaryA fusion of simplicity, healthy ingredients and just-right quantities, these delicious, exciting new recipes are designed for today's growing world of empty-nesters, couples without children and smaller households. For millions of fast-paced, modern households, the old cookbook standard of "serves four" is increasingly outdated and a daily nuisance. With more than 77 million baby boomers adjusting to the Empty Nest Syndrome, and with their adult children setting up their own new homes, there is a mounting demand for quick, easy, healthy recipes yielding fewer servings. |

Great Cookbook
Healthy recipes with easy-to-understand directions and colorful photos. A great addition to my cookbook library!
A must have
I started cooking out of this recipe book the day I received it. The quality of the pictures is great, the recipes are even better and the fact that most recipes take 30 minutes or less to prepare is the best.
Makes just the right amount.
These recipes make just the right amount for two average eaters. I especially liked the receipes for sauces without flour and butter. The tarragon chicken is one of our favorites, as well as the tangy non-mayomaise coleslaw dressing. Recipes geared for two servings are hard to come by so I really was happy to find this book. I bought this book for my daughter as I have had mine for a year or so.
I'm Eating Well!
I really enjoy cooking and eating the food from the recipes in this book! So far, I've had about 10 and thought they were all very good. The nutritional information is a big plus for me, as well as some of the tips given with the recipes. The beginning of the book has a good bit of info on stocking your kitchen so that you can easily cook without having to go the the grocery. I definitely recommend this book.
Good Ideas
This book is full of recipes for things we would have never thought to make. However, the recipes call for spices and are just not up to our liking for pepper and salt. So we always have to add more to make it right. Every other recipe we have made so far have been just OK and different. I would recommend this book only for people who want to figure out what kind of style of cooking they want. So good enough for us newlyweds.
