The Time of My Life

This a very warm and touching story of what their life was together and let us know how they worked out their problems together. He was a wonderful person and a great actor even though that wasn't his original plan. I admire the way he managed to cope with life's difficulties with the help of his wife Lisa. More people should look at working out their problems instead of just calling it quits which seems to be the way things are handled now days. He will be greatly missed by Lisa and his family. WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON.
lessons in viewing a glass half full

I had given this book as a gift after learning the recipient's desire to read it. When
they finished it was handed back to me with a "you have to read this, its great" response.
So I did. They were right, I couldn't put it down. Never would have thought Patrick had
experienced so many personal setbacks along his journey towards success, as well as his
wife Lisa by his side for most of them and her own. He did have an incredible life. The book soon
became a life story of a person with incredible perseverance vs. the glitzy life of a
movie star. The book did inspire me, which I didn't expect to find when I began reading it.
Together what wonderful soul mates they became. It is a great love story,of growth, devotion,
support, and having a dream and pursuing it together above, around or through all the
obstacles that life and death may present. Bows to Lisa who helped make so much of Patrick's
success possible and for bringing such a candid, honest autobiography to this audience.
A Cowboy & a Gentleman

"The Time of My Life" is a well-written and beautiful book. Knowing that Patrick died before I ordered the book made it all the more heartbreaking to read. I tried to read as slow as possible to avoid getting to the end. I wanted it to go on forever. I felt more hopeful about my own life after learning about some of Patrick and Lisa's struggles and how they had the strength and creativity to overcome them. Reading in their own words how much they loved each other gave me the desire to strengthen my own relationship. I can't recommend this book enough. You will have a vast amount of respect and empathy for Lisa and feel like you truly knew Patrick after reading it. Patrick Swayze will be sorely missed, not just because he was handsome or a famous actor, but because he was genuine and had a big heart. He was a real cowboy and a gentleman.

A Gift for My Mother
