Summaries and Customer Reviews provided by Amazon
SummaryA Note to Amazon Readers (and a Q&A) from Valerie Bertinelli Dear Amazon Customer, Glad to see you here and hopefully purchasing my book. I've heard if you buy multiple copies it's a better experience--a better one for me! But seriously, I'm usually on Amazon, too. I've been buying books through the site for ten years. I enjoy reading the reviews. I get a good sense of the book, and I like to hear what other people have to say. Like in a traditional bookstore, I can look at the cover, peek inside the book, and check out the bestseller lists. Valerie

what about Wolfie?
This book was a disappointing borefest, I have one question. How does one write a book about a weight loss journey & never, not once, mention her overweight son?
Loved It!!
Loved it; although it should have been called "Gaining It" since it was all about how/why she gained the weight. I hope her next book "Finding It" is more on how she lost the weight.
That aside, I totally enjoyed the book and learning about her relationships with her family, friends and food. She was not afraid to admit her mistakes and insecurities....who knew a TV star and rock star wife was struggling just to fit in like the rest of us?
Great Read
I really enjoyed this book. It is a very honest account of the life of a child star/rock star wife that shows you should be careful what you wish for. The writing is excellent, especially considering that the author didn't graduate from high school. My only caveat is that I found the repeated references to weight distracting and depressing. Ms. Bertinelli is a talented woman and seems to be an excellent Mom. Her weight is irrelevant. If she wants to maintain a certain weight that is fine, but she should not measure her self-worth by the scale (hope you're reading this Valerie!).
Lose this book
I rated this book 1-1/2 stars because only one chapter dealt with Jenny Craig which I thought was dissapointing. All the book talks about her marriage to Eddie VanHalen and all the guys she fantasized about, dated, and slept with. She was stupid for carrying a torch for a man who womanized and drank. Why would anyone want a child with a man like that. And she thinks that being five foot four and a half and 125 lbs. is overweight and that a size 10 is big. I weight 125 and I'm '5"5, I wear between an 8 and a 10, and after reading this book, I feel big which I am not. She's way too obsessed with her weight. Too much trash in this book and she uses the f word a lot. They should call this book LOSE IT. She should have talked more about her childhood and family. Too much emphasis on the Van Halen affairs, marriage, and the guys she slept with. Reads like the National Enquirer. TOO TRASHY for me.
Losing It
I saved my money . . I did not buy this book after reading reviews. Another aging "beauty" with little to offer except "weight loss bait."
