Average Rating:
Interesting book that everyone should read
It's pretty clear the author has a bias and a point to make at the outset of the book. But does that make it untrue? Doesn't everyone worth listening to have something to say?
I used to haul liquid feed called 'Synergy' to feed lots, it contained rendered beef fat that would be fed back to cows. So while I'm no expert and as usual not really qualified to comment on the scholarship of the work, it did hit home and bring back memories.
For me this book is more about how today's corporations do business then it is about fast food. This model has been carried over into: phone companies, barber shops, auto maintenance... you name it they've done it. Employees are now 'associates', which is a transparent way of relinquishing responsibility for the people who work for a company. In my experience, in every case of this McInization quality suffers and the experience in the shop is annoying. As a rule I try to steer clear of these sorts of organizations, but it can be very hard to do these days.
That's the real message here and it's one we all should heed. Give up the desire to have familiar experiences everywhere you go and embrace the differences in life before everything really is the same everywhere.
Interesting Read but Dozens of Spelling and Grammatical Errors
I enjoyed the content of the book. I am writing this review to point out the dozens of glaring spelling and grammatical errors throughout this book. For the cost of books these days I think publishers owe us the courtesy of having someone read the book at least once before selling it to the public. The spelling errors were glaring and detracted from the story. The errors are especially frustrating because this is the second edition of this book that has been released!

great price on this book. It shipped on time and I received it in a few days. Great!
Same book, different cover
Since the description isn't clear, don't waste your money on this "limited edition" book if you already have the original. I was under the impression from the low price and (P.S.) after the title that this was an addition to the original or perhaps even the original with additional new material. Nope. Same book I already have.
Mislead
I thought that this book was a sequel to "Fast Food Nation" since it was titled P.S.. Instead, I got the old book in a new package. I feel deceived. I have already read this book and was hoping to get new information, updated. If I had wanted to buy the original book, published back in 2002, I would have bought one for one cent on the secondary market.
